The classic Shakespearean tale of Macbeth will see a gender-flipped production in a theatrical celebration of The Bard’s 400th anniversary.

With a cast including Belinda Campbell playing Macbeth, Chad O’Brien playing Lord Macbeth (formerly Lady Macbeth) Jennifer Piper playing Banquo, and other members such as Jane Barry, James Cerche, Guillym Davenport, Briony Farrell, Alexandra Hines, Marissa O’Reilly, Cait Spiker and Tammy Weller taking to the stage, the production promises to reexamine gender roles and re-purpose the story for a modern audience in a thrilling adaptation.

It’s all going down at the Bluestone Church Arts Space, Footscray from Friday August 12 to Saturday August 27. Tickets via Wit Incorporated
