For 40 years, the Camberwell Market has been one of Melbourne’s most popular second-hand, handmade, antique and vintage markets. Now it’s celebrating a big milestone with an even bigger celebration.

Balwyn Rotary plans to make the birthday celebration one that will honour and thank all the locals that have attended the weekly market, which has grown to become a beloved ritual for so many. Expect over 380 stalls to dive into and unearth hidden treasures from.

Created by Balwyn Rotary in 1976 to fund a diverse range of charities, the market has raised over $15 million for community and humanitarian causes. People love to wander between the stalls to discover a potential hidden gem, whether it be artwork, records, clothes, jewellery, toys, trinkets or some other wacky and wonderful piece. The market even has such a diverse collection of vintage fashion that costume designers from film and television often meander through its stalls in search for authentic items.

Come and enjoy the festivities in honour of the market’s 40th anniversary on Sunday August 28. It’ll only cost you a gold coin donation. Head to their website for more details.
